~ My favorite pictures from Christmas morning in Washington, D.C.

I shot nearly 200 pictures on Christmas morning, most of them during our day trip to Washington, D.C.  These are probably my favorite of the bunch.  My family had never visited the Korean War Veterans Memorial before.  I’m glad we were able to see it on such a beautiful and mostly uncrowded day.

  1. I can’t believe you just made it to the Korean War memorial! It was immediately my favorite site in DC. We took everybody there. I just love the slightly-larger-than-life soldiers and the faces sketched in the granite. So powerful and moving. You took a great picture!

  2. Oh my! These pictures took my breath away. It’s so crazy how a photo can be so profoundly moving.

    You are a great photographer….!

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog. I really just came here to say thanks, but I can see I have to come back. Like you, I love making mini-books, the layouts came much later. I had to put my comment under these pictures. They are so breathtaking, never seen them before. Just wish I could see them (without the crowd). I pop in later on.
    And I loved your strawberries.
