Happy birthday to me! I took a break this morning from scrap projects to make a big lunch. Started cooking before 8 this morning! Decided that I’d rather spend the time at home with my family than to brave a loud, unpredictable restaurant experience. Well, bad day to find out the oven stopped working! Luckily the stovetop still works and I have a separate roaster and made roast beef with a Mediterranean dry rub, fresh corn with pimientos and cream, a puff pastry with spinach, carmelized onions and feta cheese, and slices of soft Italian bread. Yeah, a bit Mediterranean for my birthday to compliment my very German Black Forest cake! Yum!
