~ Day at the National Museum of the Marine Corps

The family spent a good part of the day viewing the new exhibits yesterday of older time periods from the founding of the Marine Corps through World War I.  They did a great job expanding the exhibit area by building in the former classroom and picture gallery areas.  Jacob did his first rifle range simulation.  Not bad for his first time.  I think the weight of the weapon might have been a cause of his cluster being low and to the right.  I especially liked the model dioramas.  I don’t know what it is but I love the recreated scenes with miniatures.

If you’d like to plan a visit, go to the the official National Museum of the Marine Corps site.
